I was browsing CL tonight and came across what looked like a pretty clean !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . “I could do that”, I thought to myself. Until...
“Wire harness as this one is somewhat faulty (original)“
So when I google the wiring harness - this is an actual !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! :
As if the harness itself is calling out “do not buy me, you’ll never figure this shit out.”

I saw the picture and thought “those look like old Lucas connectors... RUN!”

Pretty much.

But they have eyes

If it’s cheap enough, it would make a pretty fun project to learn how to make your own harness on.
Assuming that your idea of fun is shocking yourself a lot.

With 12v? You’re not supposed to jab wires under your skin, found yer’ issue! You’d at worst drag a few sparks and have a few melted wires here and there!

Meh, looks like only about half of them are the aluminum bullets of Satan - the rest look like the crunchy fragile gang connectors of deceit. Which are better. Probably.

It’s a mix for sure, but they’re all dumb IMO. And I kinda hate that I can identify a Lucas harness based on a couple of connectors.

At least no Lucas wiring harnesses are clothwrap in such a way that when the wires fade you can’t tell them apart. Ha. HA. HAHAHA

Oh yeah. Especially white, yellow, and brown. They’re ALWAYS SOOOOOOO easy to tell apart.

I’m an EE, this is childs play. Like 45 minutes with a DMM and a wiring diagram to figure it all out. get it.
